IND vs AUS HIGHLIGHTS, T20 WC: India Set Up Semifinal With England With Win Over Australia

IND vs AUS HIGHLIGHTS, T20 World Cup 2024: India are through to semifinals of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. They got there in style with a 24-run win over Australia in their last Super 8 clash against Australia putting the Kangarooos on the verge of an elimination. India captain Rohit Sharma led from the front and played a sublime innings, taking the attack to the opposition from over number 1.

The Hitman scored 92 off 42, a stroke-filled innings that was studded with 7 fours and 8 sixes. His wagon wheel was a sight to behold in itself with strokes all around the park. While Rohit is known for his pulls, a shot that would be etched in the minds of the fans would be Rohit coming down the track and hitting one over extra cover for a maximum.

With the help of Rohit’s innings, India did post 205/5 but they were made to work hard in the run-chase with Travis Head once again taking a liking to Indian bowlers. Head scored 76 off 43 deliveries but India held on to their nerves to take wickets and seal a win. Kuldeep Yadav was India’s stand out performer with the ball in hand, picking 2 wickets for 24 runs off his 4 overs.

Still Not Over For Australia In T20 World Cup 2024

Meanwhile, Australia will have to wait for the result of the Afghanistan vs Bangladesh game. If Bangladesh win but not by a huge margin, Aussies will get to play the semis against South Africa. If Afganistan win, they will walk into the semis and if it’s a Bangladesh win by a handsome margin, even the Bangla Tigers fancy a chance in the knockout stage of the competition.
