KL Rahul Ruled Out Of IND vs ENG 4th Test In Ranchi; Mukesh Kumar Returns

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday (February 20) confirmed star keeper-batter KL Rahul’s absence from upcoming IND vs ENG 4th Test in Ranchi. Whether he will be fit to participate in the fifth and final Test match in Dharamsala depends upon his recovery and fitness assessment.

The fourth Test match between India and England is scheduled to commence on 23rd February in Ranchi. In consideration of IND vs ENG five-match Test series’ long duration and the need for workload management, BCCI opted to rest senior pacer Jasprit Bumrah for upcoming Ranchi Test. Mukesh Kumar, who was released from Indian squad ahead of 3rd Test, has joined the national team in Ranchi.

Following their thumping win over England in the Rajkot Test, Rohit Sharma-led India took a 2-1 lead in the five-match IND vs ENG Test series. Despite England winning the first Test in Hyderabad, hosts India mounted a remarkable comeback, securing consecutive wins in Visakhapatnam and Rajkot. The upcoming IND vs ENG 3rd Test match is scheduled to take place in Ranchi from Friday (February 23) onwards.

India’s updated squad for IND vs ENG 4th Test in Ranchi: Rohit Sharma (C), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Rajat Patidar, Sarfaraz Khan, Dhruv Jurel (WK), KS Bharat (WK), Devdutt Padikkal, R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohd.
