Rahul Tripathi Gets Emotional Viral Picture: Rahul Tripathi was pretty much the lone warrior for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) with the bat in their defeat against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) during the two teams’ face off in IPL 2024 Qualifier 1 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Tuesday (May 21). After the Orange Army lost early wickets, Tripathi led their recovery and scored a blistering 55 off 35.

However, in a decisive moment of SRH’s innings, Tripathi got run out after a brilliant piece of fielding from Andre Russell on the second ball of the 14th over. Post the run out, Tripathi was devastated and could not believe how he got out. He was even seen getting emotional, sitting alone in the stairs after his dismissal.

KKR Beat SRH With 38 Balls To Spare In IPL 2024 Qualifier 1

As far as KKR are concerned, they completely dominated SRH and reached their target with 38 balls to spare. Hyderabad were bowled out for 159 with Mitchell Starc finishing as the pick of the bowlers (3/34) off his 4 overs. In the run chase, KKR off to a blistering start. Even though they lost openers Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Sunil Narine, unbeaten half-centuries from Venkatesh Iyer and Shreyas Iyer aided Kolkata to an 8-wicket win.

SRH, meanwhile, will take on the winner of the IPL 2024 Eliminator between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) while KKR await the second finalist. IPL 2024 final is scheduled to be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on May 26 (Sunday).
